The Urban Legend
Role: Editorial Support, IP Development, Content Creation, and Marketing Consultant
Josef Yohannes, creator of The Urban Legend came to me looking for marketing assistance and editorial support on the property. TUL is a new globally-conscious superhero of color who’s ready to fight for the world of tomorrow.

Meeting The Urban Legend & A Real Hero…
Superheroes are a big part of my life, I love the inspiration and charge I get from reading about characters fighting for good against all odds. When I met Josef Yohannes back in 2016 I had the feeling I was actually meeting a real life superhero this time.
Yohannes’ TUL is not just about beating up the bad guys, but also about leaving the world a the better place for the next generation. TUL releases special editions that educate on the important issues of our time including climate change, bullying, ebola, and violence against women.
In the past they’ve partnered with the Mandela Family Foundation, Malala Fund, Noble Peace Center, and most recently the World Wildlife Foundation for the climate issue which I had the opportunity to edit.

Pitch Deck Development: Hero Locally, Act Globally
The Urban Legend is distributed in Josef’s country of Norway as well as throughout the EU. Josef and I have been together developing marketing opportunities for the property in the US with both comics publishers and distributors.
This is a slide from the pitch deck I wrote and designed to introduce TUL to American publishers.

Marketing Content: The Future Of TUL
The superhero craze is showing no signs of slowing down, it’s only a matter or time before TUL hits the mainstream, or at least a content streaming platform. I love Josef's approach to with TUL, how much he cares for today's youth and creating a hero and stories they can relate to.
Here is a recent marketing one-pager I wrote for TUL in conjunction with our US marketing efforts.
